We create family libraries from scratch and take existing ones into our care: sourcing books worldwide, building, restoring, valuing and cataloguing the collection. Behind this stand our own search and investigation boutique and our own publishing house.
Why it matters
A library says more about a family than its portraits
The books a family gathers over generations are a map of its interests, values and fate. A well-assembled library becomes part of the legacy: it is read, cared for and passed on rather than sold off to second-hand dealers. We make sure the collection is meaningful, well preserved and documented — so that a hundred years from now it is clear who built it and why.
How we work
Search, restoration, publishing — one team
Our own search and investigation boutique finds rare editions in antiquarian shops, at auctions and in private collections around the world. Restorers, appraisers and bibliographers bring the collection to a state worthy of being passed on. And our own publishing house lets us complete the library with books about the family itself.
What we do
A library from scratchA concept built around the family’s interests and history — from a themed collection to a library of the lineage. One of a kind: there will never be another like it.
Sourcing books worldwideRare and antiquarian editions, specific volumes and copies — through dealers, auctions and private collectors.
Collection buildingWe grow the collection to a plan and fill the gaps in series and collected works.
Restoration and careBindings, paper, cases and storage conditions — so the books outlive the next century.
ValuationAppraisal and valuation of individual editions and the collection as a whole — for insurance, inheritance and records.
CataloguingAn inventory of the collection, a digital catalogue, bookplates and marking of family copies.
Books about the familyOur own publishing house produces family books, chronicles and albums that take their place on the same shelf.
A library is the only inheritance that grows in value the more it is used.

The search for a rare volume of a Polish heraldic register
Task
A client wanted to find an original copy of a specific volume of an 1893 Polish heraldic register containing the coat of arms used by his ancestors. Two copies in good condition were needed: one the client wanted to keep, the other to give to his mother, since it was her lineage.
What was done
FRAM GROUP organised the search for original copies. We found one in an antique shop in London, the other with a private collector in Poland. Both were purchased and delivered to the client.
Result
The family received two original volumes of the Polish heraldic register connected to their lineage. The books became part of the family’s heritage and library.
