A book as a form of transmitting life

A book is the most durable medium. It outlives its author, its publisher, its era. A book about a person's life or a family's business is not a memoir. It is an act of transmission: of experience, meaning, character.

What is not written is forgotten within one generation

Oral history lives as long as its carrier lives. Everything stored only in memory disappears with the person. A book is a way of saying to grandchildren and great-grandchildren what you will never be able to say to them in person.

Biographer, editor, designer — one team

We assemble a team for each project: an interviewer experienced with principals, an editor, an archival researcher, a book designer. We work in strict confidentiality. The final book is produced in the form and print run required by the client — from a single copy to a full edition.

A good book about a person is what they themselves would want to read about themselves in a hundred years.
