Series «Letter to Yourself»
Each author — an outstanding leader, entrepreneur, scientist, physician, cultural or public figure — speaks from the height of lived experience to their younger self about what only became clear after decades: about choices, mistakes, illusions, principles and decisions.
Mission
The Path of Creators project is dedicated to preserving the experience of contemporaries who shape the development of society. We regard the professional and personal paths of those who form the economy, culture, science, governance and public institutions of the country as part of historical heritage.
Each letter is a record of the thinking and choices of a generation that defines modern Russia. Our purpose is to gather and preserve this experience in a single source for those who follow.
11 volumes in the series
Format of participation
We help the author create the text of a letter to themselves. The process includes several stages.
What remains
Options for participation
Producing a standalone authored book about a single person in a print run of 3,000+ copies with a professional team typically requires a budget of around 12 million roubles. In the Path of Creators series, each volume contains the letters of 9 authors — the cost of participation is significantly lower at a comparable level of production.
Timeline and editorial policy
Preparing one author's letter takes an average of 3–5 months. Work on authors runs in parallel. Completion of the full series (99 letters, 11 volumes) is planned before the end of 2027.
Willingness to participate on a commercial basis does not guarantee inclusion in the series. The decision is made by the editorial board based on the fit of the author's path, the scale of their contribution and alignment with the project's values.
Project authors
The project is realised by the International Genealogical Centre (MGC) and FRAM GROUP — the wealth management centre. MGC and FRAM GROUP act as the authorial and production team responsible for research, interviewing, literary composition and publication of the series' letters.
